MyGolf, which is headquartered in North Myrtle Beach, now has three primary branches of its business.
“MyGolf has always been able to go in different directions,” said MyGolf executive director Lauren Hunt Fournier, the daughter of company founder and former area club professional Ben Hunt. “We are trying to change our perception at the beach. We’re not trying to take anything from anybody, we’re simply promoting the game of golf, and now we’re promoting through different elements.”
The membership program that was the impetus for the creation of the company costs $55 annually and offers discounts on golf, dining, lodging, shopping, entertainment and services.
Members receive discounted green fees that are also applicable for three guests per round on short bookings, as well as additional discounts on arranged Play Days on designated courses.
The company serves as a package company that can book a combination of rounds and lodging, and it has aligned with the T-Links booking engine that includes nearly all Grand Strand courses and many in Pinehurst. Rounds may be booked at MyGolfnus.com as early as later this week.
MyGolf has recently negotiated the ability to book rounds at several non-affiliate courses in the area that aren’t part of the membership program, including Founders Group International’s 22 courses.
“People have been asking about them, and 22 courses are a lot of courses at the beach, so we wanted to have some kind of access to get golfers on those courses,” Hunt Fournier said. “We decided to partner with T-Links and join that crowd.”
MyGolf also considers itself a marketing agency for its affiliated layouts and provides consulting for some courses.
Hunt Fournier said MyGolf now has six employees including salespeople, her father and her husband, Brian Fournier, the digital marketing director and owner of 910DESIGNS.
