Built in 1962 by world-renowned architect George Cobb, the Oak Island Golf Club offers golfers many of Mother Nature's most beautiful sights: waterfowl, alligators and all kinds of maritime plants and trees. The course, which features Bermuda grass greens, tees, fairways and rough, presents a true golfing test. Wind is almost always present, which is evident by the wind-shaped Live Oaks and Yaupon trees on the course. Fear not, however. Oak Island can be enjoyed by golfers of all abilities.
